Concord is a community built around being outside. Sitting along Fort Loudoun Lake in West Knoxville, most families here want a backyard they can actually use, and a well-built deck is how that happens. Riverview Decks has been building them for over 21 years, and we back every project with the only double lifetime warranty in Tennessee, with full coverage on materials and workmanship for the life of the deck.

Custom Deck Building in Concord, TN

Every Concord property is a little different. Ranch homes on flat lots, hillside properties with serious grade changes, waterfront homes along Fort Loudoun Lake that need drainage planned from the start. We build to fit the site you have.

We build ground-level and elevated decks, multi-level designs for sloped lots, pool and lakefront decks, attached and freestanding structures, and decks with pergolas, built-in seating, and custom railing systems. We work in composite and pressure-treated wood, and we’ll help you figure out which one makes sense for your property and how you plan to use it.

Concord gets hot humid summers, icy winters, and if your property is near the lake, added moisture year-round. What you build with determines how the deck holds up fifteen years from now.

Knox County Permits — We Handle Everything

Most deck projects in Concord require a Knox County building permit. We file the application, submit the documentation, coordinate inspections, and close the permit out when the job is done. You don’t manage any part of that process.

Every Riverview Decks project is fully permitted and inspected. Skipping permits might save a few days upfront, but it creates real problems when you go to sell the home.

Rated 5 out of 5

Nate and his team were professional and efficient. We were in constant communication. I have 3 dogs that the workers were mindful of by keeping the gate closed and not leaving any nails or screws as a hazard.

JC and/or Nate were here everyday to ensure quality and perfection. There is no one else I would recommend for your deck both new or repaired. I only wish I could give more than 5 stars!

Frequently Asked Questions

In most cases, yes. Knox County requires permits for attached decks and most elevated structures. We handle the entire process.
Composite holds up better in East Tennessee’s humidity and sun and requires far less ongoing maintenance. Treated wood costs less upfront and works well with regular care. For properties near the lake or in heavily shaded lots, composite tends to be the better long-term investment.
Both materials and workmanship, for the life of the deck, with no expiration date and no hidden exclusions. If something fails because of how we built it, we fix it.

Yes. Sloped and hillside properties are common in Concord and we’ve handled a lot of them. Elevated builds require more structural planning, which we account for in the quote upfront.

There can be additional permitting requirements for structures near the waterline, and TVA regulates certain shoreline construction separately from Knox County. We’ll identify what applies to your property during the consultation.
